31 March 2025, Manila – The Coconut Industry Investment Funds Oil Mills Group (CIIF-OMG) celebrates the 2025 National Women’s Month which carries the sub-theme: “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.” Fostering a culture of inclusivity, the commemoration reinforces the core objective of Republic Act No. 9710 otherwise known as the Magna Carta for Women which is to empower women, promote gender equality, and ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities.
The annual commemoration serves as a platform to eradicate common societal practices that espouse gender inequality, providing an opportunity to challenge longstanding norms and deeply rooted biases against women.
As a gesture of support and recognition, CIIF-OMG women employees were treated to various gifts and Zumba dance fitness workout.
The National Women’s Month Celebration is anchored on the global commemoration of the International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8, a tradition that emerged from women’s activism for labor rights and gender equality in the 20th century.
