17 October 2025, Manila<\/strong> \u2013 The Coconut Industry Investment Fund Oil Mills Group (CIIF-OMG), in close coordination with Land Bank of the Philippines (Landbank), conducted on Monday a financial literacy forum, focused on raising awareness among CIIF-OMG employees on financial concepts ranging from the basics of banking to sound investment strategies.
Drawing from his years of experience in both private and the government sector, Atty. Mario Sabino Jr., Vice President for Landbank Trust Banking Group, underscored the importance of diversifying one\u2019s assets as a key strategy for growing wealth, noting that informed investment choices help mitigate risks and ensure long-term financial stability. He also emphasized various investment opportunities offered by the LBP that can help CIIF-OMG employees in making smart financial decisions.
\u201cAs government employees with a stable source of income, diversifying assets is crucial to growing wealth as it helps spread risk while creating opportunities for sustainable return over long periods of time,\u201d he said.
Attended by nearly 50 employees, the financial literacy forum provided an avenue for the LBP team to encourage CIIF-OMG employees to explore possibilities in investment with the help of the government financial institution.
